02 What is EMC

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) terminology explanation: the ability of a device or system to work normally in its electromagnetic environment, and does not constitute unbearable electromagnetic disturbance to anything in the environment. (Refer to GB/T4765-1995)
From the above concepts, three elements of EMC can be sorted out: EMI, EMS, and electromagnetic environment.

2.1 EMI

EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference, electromagnetic interference), that is, the equipment or system in a certain environment, during normal operation, should not generate electromagnetic energy that exceeds the requirements of the corresponding standards.

2.2 EMS

EMS (Electro Magnetic Susceptibility, electromagnetic immunity) refers to a device or system in a certain environment. During normal operation, the device or system can withstand electromagnetic energy interference within the range specified by the corresponding standard.

2.3 Electromagnetic environment

Electromagnetic environment, that is, all kinds of electrical and electronic equipment that use electrical energy to work, together with the power supply of the equipment, the load, other electrical and electronic equipment around, the equipment operator or the person providing services for the equipment, and even other living substances, The specific working environment formed.
